Does it cost anything to speak or meet with an attorney?
It costs nothing. The evaluation and consultation are free. We do not get paid until we win. Dussault and Zatir attorneys represent you the client on a contingency fee basis. This mean nothing is owed unless we successfully recover money on your behalf.
Why should I hire Dussault and Zatir for my personal injury case?
Our personal injury attorneys have over three decades of experience fighting for the rights of injured victims. Our attorneys only represent people injured by the negligence of others. This includes people injured in car accidents, motorcycle accidents, dog bites, wrongful death and other similar injuries. Our personal injury attorneys help injured victims seek compensation after they have suffered an injury from another person’s negligence. We never have and never will represent insurance companies. Attorneys Jim Dussault and Peter Zatir founded our firm on the principle that injured persons and their families should have access to the same quality legal representation as large insurance companies.
What should I do after an accident?
Your health is number one. Seek medical treatment for your injuries as quickly as possible and try to preserve evidence to document the facts of the case while they are still fresh. Do not give a recorded statement to the insurance company. Insurance companies often take advantage of accident victims during the vulnerable time period following traumatic incident. Our team of attorneys will immediately take over all communication with the insurance companies. This will protect your rights.
How much is my case worth?
There is no such thing as a fixed price or certain amount of money or worth associated with a given injury. Each personal injury case is unique. Different factors go into the evaluation of your case. These include the amount of available insurance, the cost of medical bills, and the percentage of fault on either party. In the beginning, right after the accident, much of this information is unknown, but as your case progresses it is much easier to estimate the value of your claim. After your injury, it is our goal to gather this information as quickly as possible while also helping you avoid the tactics used by insurance companies to devalue your claim. After all injuries are diagnosed and treated, we will be in a position to place an appropriate settlement value on your personal injury claim and begin negotiations with the insurance company.
Do I have to go to court?
The majority of our personal injury cases settle in the pre-litigation stage. This means the case settles prior to filing a lawsuit. When you settle your case, you will sign a settlement release that will officially close your case in exchange for the agreed amount of money. Our attorneys will also negotiate with your medical providers to lower your bills and maximize the amount of money in your pocket.
