Professional Experience
Jim Dussault is a personal injury attorney with decades of experience under his belt. Aside from being a founding partner of Dussault & Zatir, he is also a dedicated husband and father, as well as an artist.
Born and raised in New Bedford, MA, he knows what it means to grow up working class and to succeed to through hard work and dedication. His father, Roma Dussault, was a plane captain onboard the World War II “hero ship” USS Bunker Hill CV-17. His exploits were immortalized in Maxwell Taylor Kennedy’s book “Danger’s Hour”, which tells the story of the attack which killed 393 Americans and was the worst suicide attack against America until September 11th 2001. Roma was a career firefighter with the New Bedford Fire Department and was the city’s un-official Santa Claus for thousands of grammar school kids. Both Roma and Jim’s mother, Pauline made necessary sacrifices to raise the family with an eye on education.
After receiving his college degree in Political Science, he joined the campaign staff of Senator Edward M. Kennedy. Later, he was part of the team responsible for national advance / scheduling during the Senator’s presidential campaign. He was privileged to work under the tutelage of Mr. Tony Podesta, and specialized in building rallies, motorcades and transportation. Jim was also part of the effort to organize underprivileged neighborhoods throughout the US including: Spanish Harlem; Cleveland’s Hough; The south side of Chicago; East St. Louis and Watts/LA.
Jim studied Law at Suffolk University in Boston and was influenced by former Nuremberg prosecutor and famous tort law professor Tom Lambert. Upon graduating, he joined The Law Offices of Robert T. Karns where he represented the injured in all personal injury related matters. In 1990, Attorney Dussault joined Attorney Peter T. Zatir in forming Dussault & Zatir P.C.. Since then, the firm has successfully represented thousands of clients and has achieved recognition for their impressive results.
Additional outside interests…
Jim’s the type of person who prefers to put down the electronic devices in favor of a good old fashioned conversation. He has a love for American history, and is a life-long New England Patriots fan.
As an artist, he studied American Impressionist Plein Air painting at Rhode Island School of Design under the tutelage of the great Robin Wiseman.
