When motor vehicles crash in New Bedford, it is common for them to be flipped, thrown, pushed or otherwise moved with great force from the point of impact. This can result in other vehicles and bystanders becoming involved, either by being hit by a car or by debris from the collision. These types of pedestrian accidents can lead to serious injuries or, in some cases, death.
An auto-pedestrian accident that occurred in Boston recently reportedly took the lives of two people. According to reports, the two pedestrians were hit by a car that rolled after being involved in a crash with another vehicle. It was reported that the two vehicles collided at the intersection of Fairfield and Beacon streets, but specific details regarding how the accident happened were not disclosed. Law enforcement is continuing to investigate to determine the cause of the motor vehicle accident.
One of the pedestrians, a 27-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital, but she ultimately died as a result of her injuries. Her 28-year-old boyfriend was also killed. He died at the scene of the accident. It is unknown at this time whether either of the drivers who were involved in the crash may face charges.
If you have suffered an injury, or have lost a loved one, in a pedestrian accident with a motor vehicle, it may be worth your time to consult with an experienced attorney. A lawyer can explain your rights and your options, as well as offer advice as to the best course of action for your situation.
